Grand Tetons
After Yellowstone, we drove into the valley and headed to the Grand Tetons. After burning California, the north-west was cool and refreshing. As we drove across the plains with the majestic mountains in the distance, we complained to dad about the swaying RV. Poor dad, it was (mostly) just the winds.
Once we started climbing, the views really caught our attention and distracted us from our mid-afternoon nap-time feeling. It was almost overwhelming to see a snow-covered mountain landscape, along with a sun-bathed plain in the backround.
It did not take long to figure out which mountains where the Tetons. Their peaks are always covered in snow.
The local wildlife....
The next day we continued driving onward. The land changed pretty dramatically. There where pronged horn antelope and a power plant, plus a comfortable temperature of around 70 degrees.
